So you got to campus, found how to get to all of your classes, took a roomie picture before going out and did your dreaded laundry.  Now it’s time to get involved in campus life.

Ever heard of OrangeSeeds?  Most freshmen recognize the name, but few have any idea as to what the program actually is.  OrangeSeeds is a small first-year organization that encourages their Seeds to become actively involved in the community through leadership and community service opportunities.  The Seed class of 25 each year have former Seed upperclassmen as their mentors, which serve them well as Mat Mazer, Co-director of the program, pointed out.  “OrangeSeeds literally made me into who I am today.  My mentor not only helped me through the program, but helped me network with other Syracuse and non-Syracuse people who gave me my job today as a senior.”
